Symptoms

Cannot log into your RMS Cloud system resulting in the below error;

Error: The specified remote 2X Connection could not be found.  Verify that you have typed the correct computer name or IP address, and then try to connect again. 

Resolution

  1. Check to ensure that the 2x connection has established
    1. Double click the 2x icon in the system tray
    2. Click once on the refresh button within the 2x screen

 

  1. 2x can connect
    1. Double click on the RMS Cloud icon to log into RMS

 

  1. 2x cannot connect
    1. Edit the 2x connection properties and ensure that the details within the screen including username and password are the same.  Save and exit, this will force 2x to reconnect.

 

  1. 2x still does not connect
    1. Open your internet browser, go to www.google.com.au. 

 

  1. No internet access
    1. If you cannot connect please contact your ISP to get this resolved.
