In order to make the move to RMS Cloud an enjoyable experience please complete the following checklist before contacting the RMS Training Coordinator to arrange a time for the transfer.

Reduce the size of your RMS History folder

An RMS representative will assist you with this step.

Setting up Mapped Network Drives – for Exporting Reports

It is advisable to setup a central mapped network drive to a folder named RMSCloud on your network so that documents exported from RMS Cloud can be saved and accessed easily.
If you are unsure on how to setup a mapped network drive then we advise that you consult your IT Technician as there may be restrictions on your network which prevent you from doing this.

Setting up Mapped Network Drives – for the following Modules POS Processor, Ozbiz

You will need to setup a mapped network drive to the folder for the above modules. It is essential that you use the same mapped network drive letter on each computer for each module (E.g. POS Processor = P:\ Ozbiz = O:\ )

If you are unsure on how to setup a mapped network drive then we advise that you consult your IT Technician as there may be restrictions on your network which prevent you from doing this.

Check that you have an alternate internet connection

Ensure you have a backup internet source this might be as simple as having a pay-as-you-go 3G USB internet dongle or as complex as having a second ADSL line with an alternate provider.

Install 2X Client application and setup the connection to RMS Cloud

Refer to the Welcome Email sent by RMS Technical Services which contains setup instructions for Windows and Mac as well as including a PDF attachment with your usernames and passwords.

Contact RMS

Once you have completed this checklist, you will need to contact our RMS Training Coordinator to arrange a time to dial in and check that your system is ready for the transfer to RMS Cloud.

NOTE: Prior to the time your appointment is booked for your RMS Cloud transfer you must complete a backup to RMS Cloud using the Backup and Restore feature.  Once this backup is complete you will be unable to add any new information into your RMS System.
