RMS Cloud - Troubleshooting Freezing

Symptoms

Your RMS Cloud is freezing up randomly?  Follow the below connection test for your operating system.

Is the computer you are using connected to your modem/router using a Wi-Fi (wireless) connection?  If so try testing with an Ethernet connection (network cable directly from your computer to the modem/router).

Windows XP

  1. Open a command prompt by clicking Start > Run then type cmd and press Enter
  2. Type ping google.com -t and press Enter
  3. Minimize the window and continue to work with RMS Cloud as normal.

When your RMS Cloud freezes, maximize the command prompt window, if you receive message like those shown in the screen shot below, there is an issue with your internet connection which must be resolved through your ISP.

If the window is still connecting to google.com then please contact RMS for further investigation.

Windows Vista or 7

  1. Open a command prompt by clicking the Start Orb > then type cmd in the Search Programs and Files box then press Enter
