How to Add Booking Sources

Overview

This tutorial will take you through the steps to adding Booking Sources into your RMS system

Steps

First Step

From any screen within RMS 9

Click once on Setup on the Navigation bar
Choose Lookup Tables from the list
Choose Bkg Sources from the sub list
Click once on Add

Second Step

Enter a Code
This can be alpha or numeric, but has a limit of 6 characters.

Enter the description of the booking source.

Show in RMSOnline check box.
This feature will only effect the RMS Online Module with the Online Agent RMSOnline. By ticking this option it will show the description in a drop down list on your online booking screen for the guest to choose from when making their reservation as to how they found your website.


All other fields on this screen are optional.

Click once on Save/Next to enter further Bkg Sources. Click once on Save/Exit once complete.

Grouping may be associated to a Booking Source.
For Example: You may have a Bkg Source entered for each newspaper/magazine that you have advertised your property with, therefore a Grouping for this could be paper publications.


Color may be selected.
This feature will only effect the Booking Chart. See related topics below for more information. 

Voucher may be ticked.
This field would only ever need to be ticked if you require a voucher from the guest when a reservation is associated to this Bkg Source.


Show in RMSOnline .
This feature will only effect the RMSOnline Module with the Online Agent RMSOnline. By ticking this option it will show the description in a drop down list on your online booking screen for the client to choose from when making their reservation.


Notes.
A free type field to hold more information on the source for you own benefit / knowledge

Inactive.
This feature will hide the source from the selection screen both in RMS and on your online booking screen. However will still appear within your reporting
