Overview
This article will take you through all the steps to configuring your RMS Ultra Lite system for the first time.
We have broken the configuration into sessions, grouping all related topics to provide ease of use.
Within the below sessions you will find short tutorial videos on each section of the configuration to guide you in the best practices.

Categories (Room Types) Learn how to add your categories into your RMS Ultra Lite system. Categories group your areas together in RMS. Areas are the physical bookable elements of your property, you may refer to them as Rooms, Sites or Apartments.

- This article will take you through the steps on how to add your Tariffs (Rates) into RMS, so that your RMS Ultra Lite system can automatically calculate your rates when making a reservation in RMS or Online. Tariff/Availability Chart Below we have provided short videos on each element required when adding a chart tariff. This setup has been based on a rate sheet for Mexican Shores (CLICK HERE TO SEE A COPY OF THE RATE SHEET) Tariff Types Tariff Types are the first element that needs to be entered when adding tariffs into RMS. Tariff Types are the description of the Tariff you are charging, For Example, Rack Rate, Corporate Rate, Online Special etc. It is important to note that you do not require one for every category or tariff that you wish to enter. One tariff type can be linked to many categories and tariffs. The only time you will need to add a second tariff type into your RMS system is if you wish to run two seperate tariffs at the same time for the same category. Adding the Tariff Chart Tariffs are where you link your period (seasons) to your tariff (being the amount to charge nightly). Please ensure that before watching this video you print off a copy of the Mexican Shores Rate Sheet which can be found using the link just about Tariff Types. Minimum/Maximum Nights Explained This short video will take you through how minimum nights work in RMS, we recommend that you watch this video before starting your tariff configuration.
- Configuring Ultra Lite Session 4
- This session will show you how to link your RMS Ultra Lite system with an Online Agent of your choice. Simply click once each title in turn to complete your RMSOnline Setup. RMSOnline Booking Options This area of the setup controls the information that shows on your online booking page including Property Information, Things To Do, Business Facilities, Cancellation Policy and Terms and Conditions. Adding Online Agents This area will take you through the steps on how to add the Online Agents of your choice which will interface with your RMS Ultra Lite system. Adding Default Allotments for all Online Agents This area allows you to set one group of allotments which can then be assigned to all Online Agents, sharing your live availability to all. This feature allows you to set your online system up quicker and also makes the Online Agents availability much easier to manage. Adding Photos to Online Bookings from your Website Select the photo's that you wish to upload to RMSOnline for both your Property and Categories (Room Types). NOTE: This photo must be smaller than 250 KB and must be a file type of JPG or BMP. NOTE: Each image is displayed on your RMSOnline Booking button in 130H x 190W pixels.

- This session will show you how to make a New Reservation. It will also take you through using the Reservation Search Screen, how to Extend Reservations, Cancel Reservations, how to move around the Booking Chart & how to build your Reservation List. Creating New Reservations Click once on the heading above to be taken to an article that will walk you through the process of creating a new reservation in your Ultra Lite system. Reservation Search Screen Click once on the heading above to be taken to an article that will walk you through the process of searching for an existing reservation in your Ultra Lite system. Extending Existing Reservations Click once on the heading above to be taken to an article that will walk you through the process of extending an existing reservation in your Ultra Lite system. Cancelling Reservations Click once on the heading above to be taken to an article that will walk you through the process of cancelling an existing reservation in your Ultra Lite system.
