Client Smart Search Feature

Overview

The new Client Smart Search field allow you to quickly and easily search through your entire Client database to find a guest that has stayed with you previously with more accuracy than ever before.

Feature

The Smart Search field allows you to enter any of the below information to be searched on;

  • Guest No
  • Mobile
  • Phone AH
  • Phone BH
  • Member No (if membership database is being utilized)
  • Email
  • Email2
  • Surname
  • Given Name
  • Postcode
  • Group Name
  • Address Line 1
  • ABN

 

For Example: If you were to type Irish the Smart Search field, RMS would look through the above fields to find a Match

 

 

As information is entered into the Smart Search field provided the matches will start to filter and show on the right hand side of the screen (See Below).

 

To further minimize your search method you can use the / symbol on your keyboard to enter a second piece of information E.g. Surname/Email (see example below).

 

NOTE: If a client is flagged as being on the black list, when they are shown in the smart search details they will show in red text.

 

If you find a match on the right hand side of the screen, double left click on the match to use that client record for your reservation.

 

If your match is not found simply arrow down off the field and enter the information manually.

Example Searches

Search by Surname

To search by Surname, enter the Surname of the guest into the Smart Search field as shown below.

 

This search resulted in 59 matches found

Search by Surname/Email

To further minimize your search method you can use the / symbol on your keyboard to enter a second piece of information.

To filter the Surname search further we have added Surname/Email as shown below.

 

This search resulted in 32 matches found

Search by Surname/Address 1/ Email

To further minimize your search method again you can use the / symbol on your keyboard to enter a third piece of information.

To filter the Surname search further we have added Surname/Address 1(number of the residence)/Email as shown below.

 

This search resulted in 28 matches found.

What are the benefits of this feature?

By asking for and entering the guests phone or email address rather than surname you are 98% more likely to find a single match, therefore making the booking process quicker!
